A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO MAP AUTISTICS’ PROBLEMS AND CO-DESIGN EDUCATIONAL AND DAILY SERVICES WITH THE STEAKHOLDERS FROM AUTISM COMMUNITY IN TURKEY
Autism is one of the biggest minorities in the world and require intense education and life-long support to varying degrees. In Turkey, existing policies fall short to provide such support. Thus, private schools and foundations shoulder the responsibility of giving proper education and well-being activities with their limited resources. To map and solve the consequences of poor policy-making on autism, we have been conducting a workshop series with parents, teachers, foundation directors and academicians as steakholders from autism community. The foreseen outcomes of this co-design project cover intangible as well as digital services for education, well-being, employment and daily life activities.
